For a few years now, for one reason or another, I’ve been spending Easter away from home. This year I happened to celebrate it in sunny L.A. and just could not miss the occasion to have a fancy breakfast outside. A quick poll revealed that ‘fancy’ was satisfied well enough by drinking some wine, which allowed us to concentrate on the simple and yummy: French bread and butter, hard-boiled eggs, homemade tartar sauce, Black Forest ham and a homemade pâté en terrine (i.e., pasztet), plus a cup full of berries and a chocolate bunny for dessert.
As you can see, some of us could not wait for the picture taking to be over.
Can you really blame them though?
